Alan Smith working with Pro-Vision Talent

Alan Smith joined Leicester City in 1982 where he enjoyed a successful partnership with Gary Lineker.

Five years later he moved to Arsenal where he won five major trophies, including two league titles, the first of which at Anfield in 1989 saw the most dramatic ending to a league campaign this country has ever seen. In both title years, Arsenal’s number nine won the Golden Boot as the division’s top scorer.

In 1994 Alan scored the only goal of the game against Parma to clinch the European Cup Winners’ Cup, but was forced to retire a year later due to a knee injury. He won 13 caps for England.

Since then, Alan has been a regular contributor on Sky Sports, mostly as a co-commentator and helped voice the computer game FIFA.

He wrote for the Daily Telegraph for 20 years and now writes a weekly column for the London Evening Standard.
